Well, welcome to the new site!! For those of you that know, my other car (1995 Olds Cutty Ciera) was stolen in May. Check out this page for what i did to that car, including custom fiberglass kick panels and some other things and for pics of the car after i got it back. Anyways...on to the new one!!
Now came a time i had never experienced: being able to look at cars that i wanted!! I sat down with my dad and put down the things i wanted on paper so we could narrow it down. Here's what we came up with:
2 door coupe
Sunroof
Manual Transmission
Leather interior
Believe it or not, we had a horrible time finding cars like this...2 door coupes were scarce seeing as people wanted cars with good gas mileage. The cars we kept coming to were as follows:
Saturn SC2
Olds Alero
Pontiac Grand Am or Grand Prix
Honda Accord
After a few months of shopping and looking for cars, going from dealer to dealer and from model to model, we finally decided on the Saturn SC2. I wanted a 2001-02 but i thought they would be too expensive for our budget. Then came the fateful day, July 2nd. We went to the Satty dealer in Shreveport Louisiana and saw her...the wonderful car that would soon become mine. She had everything i wanted, sunroof, manual tranny, 3 door coupe (which i had to have the 3rd door if i was getting a satty), and very low mileage. After driving her to lunch and talking to the dealer we walked out, rather drove out, in my new 2002 Saturn SC2.
