Exterior
UPDATE, MAY 25, 2009 : Well, it's been a long, expensive, frustrating, and rewarding project. But it looks to be time to let my baby go. I am putting her up for sale, and get something else. It makes me sad, but I find it very difficult to keep up with. The roads in the spring time are too rough for me to feel safe driving my car. Everytime I take it out I feel like I'm going to rip my front bumper off. I would love to keep it, but it's just not worth the repairs. I'll keep you all posted, and hopefully I will have something satisfying to replace it with.
UPDATE, MAY 17, 2009: I finally got Page 6 done, containing the raffle for BREAST CANCER RESEARCH ! This was a project taken on by many. Donations and much labor were made by Alpine , Novakoski Collision Center in Saskatoon, and Visions Electronics in Saskatoon. This raffle was started by C95 , a local radio station. This build wasn't anything wild or crazy, but there was alot of effort involved making everything perfect in our time crunch. I hope you guys enjoy this page because we are trying to save boobies . And if you don't like boobies, there's something wrong with you. lol.
RANT: What is going on with CarDomain Ratings? I hate them. I have put in so much blood sweat and tears into this car. Hell, I don't even care what my rating is at. Its everyone elses. So, I became a mobile electronics installer, and I decided to try to look on CarDomain at custom installs just to look around at what people are doing. Go right now and look at the Top Rated A/V. Its some dude's family car. It has a flip out screen!!! 4.5 stars!!! Give me a break. he slapped a body kit on there and put in a screen. He has comments like: "Thats such a sick ride". Give me a break. Tell him his car is a POS. How is he Top A/V? I at least have a custom box. How come whoever has good work done on their car I can't find, and all the top rated rides are crap? I also found a Previa van in top A/V. Wires were thrown all over and so many people were like: "That's so tight" People like that give the general population of car lovers a bad rep. No offense to the owners of the vehicles i just bashed. I find it hard on here to get my car recognized, let alone a top ride in some category. How does a rusted out Metro make it in the top?
UPDATE, SEPT 4TH, 2008: Unfortunately, on my way back from a wedding out of town, I mowed over a deer. I am currently fighting the insurance company for them to repair it because I know they can. I looked over the estimate and everything, and as of right now I should be able to fix it without writing it off on the condition that they don't have to replace my carbon fiber hood. I am trying to fight them to fix everything because I provided plenty of reciepts for custom work, but they gave me pennies for what I showed them.
IF YOU LIKE MY RIDE, SIGN MY GUESTBOOK AND NOMINATE FOR SHOWOFF OF THE WEEK! THANKS FOR STOPPING BY!
NOTE: All work on this car I was fully involved in. The only thing that was installed without my presence was the Subwoofer and Amplifier, and my security system. All other work was done by me or with my help. Nothing was done without my consent, and to my specifications, particularly the stereo system. I never threw money to a shop and said: "Make this look good." I believe that a car isn't truly mine until i have blood, sweat and tears invested. Anybody can throw money around, but that just shows you have money to waste. So on with the show.
We will start off with some before and after pics of the exterior. Left column is Before, Right column is the after pics. My rear bumper finally came in, I have a couple pics posted now of it on this page, just taken with my cell phone. I have to take my car out for a good photoshoot yet. I also have to take pics of the underglow on.
Summer '08
These pictures were taken 1 day before i hit a deer. My car has been out of commission for about 8 months. Should be getting it back soon. Finally settled with the insurance company. These were taken in Radium, British Columbia. Was a little dirty but I don't have many pics of it at this stage.
