This is the '89 RS Camaro that my father bought for $500. It is in great condition for an '89. He offered it to me for $300. What are father's for, huh? Anyway it has a 2.8L v6 tugging it right now but that will soon change. My father wants to implant the 305 5.0L (pictured)from his '87 Camaro into it, but I would rather look for a LT1 engine. I don't know whether or not that would cause some ECU problems so if anyone know please tell me. It already needs a paint job so I'm thinking about keeping the stock red but putting some black stripes on it. My friend suggested white with red stripes so i'm confused right now. I will definite have better pics later, my back yard is crowded now that there a two Camaros back there. Your comments, suggestions and advice are greatly appreciated.

The speedo only goes up to 70.

My father's old and beat up '87. I wanted to restore it but it would cost a fortune.

Nice 89, I agree with Tune It Up, I paid 800 for my 89 but I am going to have to spend another 500 dollars to get it back on the road so total right now is 1300 dollars which is not bad for the fact the engine I am using is from an 89 caprice with the same amount of miles 94k. No rust or body damage just a couple paint peals on the lower part of the nose. But this more than just a rebuild and sell deal. After I get my car on the road I am going to find another but a T-Top that I can get for cheap and start building a motor for it.
