Ok, the C-stripes. When I get done modding, my car is going to be as close to looking like a 1969 Boss 302 as I can get it. These stripes go a long way towards achieving that goal. I got them from Graphics Express, and they were about $90 with shipping. Here's a pic showing what they ought to look like when I am done.
First I needed to remove the GT emblems, as I planned on re-installing these over the stripes afterwards. I used heavy fishing line to get behind the adhesive and work them loose. This method keeps me from damaging either the paint or the emblem. I learned how to do this at The Mustang Source.

In this pic you can see the posts on the GT emblem and the corresponding holes in the fender (passenger side pictured here).
Here is a lovely girl applying rubbing alcohol where the stripes will go. This removes any wax or other debris that might keep the stripes from adhering well.
Here are the stripes taped into place on the passenger side. A word of advice: While they are taped into place, mark their position on the car with a wax pencil or something similar, because you won't have a whole lot of time to position them later.

Here I am working the stripe in front of the left rear wheel. I am squeegeeing all of the application fluid out from underneath the stripe before pulling the paper off.
Dayna is pulling the paper off a stripe which just got positioned and squeegeed. Isn't that cute?
Finally, after applying, squeegeeing, removing paper, and re-applying my GT emblem on the right side, here is the final result. Note: On the passenger side, the C-stripe was not cut quite correctly, and so I had to remove the pegs from the back of the GT emblem and slightly reposition it for it to be centered on the stripe. I used headliner adhesive to adhere it back to the car.

On the next page I will show you how I painted the hood, spoiler, between the taillights, and the chin spoiler.
