Here is my MAK Performance X-pipe. I bought this used for $125, which was a pretty good deal. It bypasses the catalytic converters, therefore freeing up the exhaust and some horsepower as well. Here's a picture comparing the new pipe to the stock one.
To put on this pipe, first I disconnected the midpipes from the stock H-pipe.

Next I had to disconnect the 02 sensors (for the upper one on the passenger side I removed it from the pipe). I then unbolted the pipe from the exhaust manifolds.
Lastly I removed the stock pipe from the two rubber hangers which were holding it up. The new X-pipe installed easily after this.
I have since gone from the X-pipe to a Pypes Off-road H-pipe, which gives a bit meaner sound. While I was doing that I also put on some stainless steel MAC mufflers with 4" polished tips, as well as a MMR Cold Air Intake, with tune from SCT to match.
