OVERVIEW
This is my 1967 Firebird Convertible. It has a 467 ci real Pontiac engine built by Butler Performance, mated to a Keisler 5 speed. The power is sent to a 12 bolt Moser rear end with 3.73's. Global West tubular front control arms were fitted, along with QA1 shocks. Rear suspension was completely changed. The stock leaf spring setup was replaced by a Heidts 4 link setup with adjustable coilovers. This suspension work transformed the car. Brakes were upgraded to SSBC power disks, and we added a Steeroids rack & pinion system. The exhaust is 3" all the way back, with a set of longtube Doug's Headers. It rides on 17 inch torque-thrust wheels and Nitto drag radials. In order to stiffen up and brace the flexible convertible chassis, we welded in some Global West subframe connectors. It makes 600 horsepower and 580 ft. lbs of torque. The car sounds incredible. When you get on it, I swear you could hear it from literally miles away.
...Enjoy!
