While not exactly how the car looked when I bought it in August of 2001, this will give you a good idea. The car at this point had the wheels replaced, Borbet type H's (21 pounds!) to the Rota Circuit 8's. Then the Garage Vary lip was added, as were the BSP low pro headlights.
During the winter of 2003 I had someone back into my car, putting his hitch through my front bumper. I took this opportunity to have the car repainted. Also had the intake lid from R-Speed installed at this time.
Two shots of the car when picking it up. Was winter, thus steelies. Plus, they're mad tite yo!~
Ahhh, fresh paint.
With the addition of the FMII kit, I decided some better flow through the engine compartment would be beneficial, so I picked up the FM/DG Motorsports carbon fiber extractor hood.
With all the black on the car, I decided to ditch the shiney look of the turn signals in the front for something a little darker. Basically, I pulled the stock ones open and painted the inside black. Looks much better, IMHO.
I started to get tired of the black wheels. Wanted to add a little class to the car. After seeing the Rota Slipstreams in steel grey with the polished lip, I knew I had to have them.
Pic while on the move..
Then came the big change. Had been wanting a hard top for quite some time. I found a 1990 Miata, with hardtop, in my area for $2000 in Dec. of '04. Bought it, took the top, and sold the 90 to a friend in need. Worked out great. The question was, do I paint it blue to match the car, or black? I had seen the black look on a few cars from Japan and started to really like it. So... black it was. While the car was there, I had the rear lip spoiler added.
Next? Well.... I have always liked flares. :big grin:
