My next victim! (insert evil laugh here...)

If you look closely, you can see the PITA. (Pain in the...) We fought the steering shaft until it won. We tried pulling the steering shaft, which didn't work, then we tried pulling the pitman arm, which didn't work either.

willysk5's 1954 Willys Wagon Removal of the custom radiator mounts. We had to roll the chassis forward while the body was lifted. That allowed the steering shaft to come out without any damage. (Well....any more damage.)

willysk5's 1954 Willys Wagon Finally got it separated. It took about 4 hours. Except for the 6 wire trailer cable, I don't think there were any wires that had any loom or protection at all. In the interest of time, I decided to cut wires instead of saving them. It needs to be rewired anway. You might notice that I replaced the original tailights with standard oval truck lights (turn, brake and tail light). They use a rubber grommet and fit pretty well. I would recommend using them instead of the round lights cut into the tailgate, of which I've seen too many cases. There's the dual exhaust that I'm going to transfer. And check out the advertisement for 88.9 KDUV FM. It's a great Christian rock station located in town. You can listen to it on the web.

Haven't touched the project for a while now. Hopefully the new year will bring new (more) time to play.
