Day 1:
Bought the car on ebay! First time purchasing a car over an auction! The cougar was in Philadelphia, PA and from the pictures I was lead to believe that the car was in decent shape, at least in driveable condition to make the 300 mile trip home. Well was I in for a suprise, the cougar sat in a junkyard for many years and was baked on by the sun w/o any wax or cover. It was in bad shape. But after sitting all that time, I drove it home flatsided tires and all! And so it began on March '04 with no looking back. The car was plagued with rust everywhere, lots faded parts, oxidized roof, bumpers, cracked dash. No electronics working. All completly torn down to nothing, stripped, gutted. All rust and bad parts fixed. New mirrors, door handles, antenna, headlight housings, grill, and the list goes on and on. The car was painted '02 Chevrolet Corvette Electron Blue Purple Pearl Paintjob by a real good friend of mine that introduced me to the whole autobody paint world. Lot's of work dedicated to that type of job but I loved every minute of it.
