This is a 1988 toyota pickup with a 22r engine. its completely stock except for the rims, msd ignition(blaster II coil, ignition control unit, and plug wires), and raptor muffler. i have lowered the rear 2 inches and i am unable to loosen up the torsion bars in front. i now have a second car but it is a hunck of junk so i am selling it and using the money to work on the truck. soon i am going to completely redo the interior and bondo up the exterior. i want to make it look like a show car and it should take less than a year.
As far as performance, i am alomst done. i plan to replace the headers with hooker headers first thing. it is fairly quick and the msd makes it own on the freeway. i would like to get it to pull 14's on the track instead of the 17's and 18's but i first have to gain some respect through its looks. the color will stay the same but new paint will be added.
If there is anyone out there who has any ideas or reccomondations i am open to any suggustions. does anyone know how to lower the front end of these things without using the torsion bars?

I bought those rims for $90 for all because the guy who had them had his car ran over by a semi and two of the rims were bent. i had them fixed good as new for free and the tires were used and only $160 for all. later i learnd that they are discontined mht syncros and would cost $1400 to get them. i love craigslist.com! this is a pic i took when i bought the rims. this is the worst of the bent ones.

I took off the rear bumper because it looks like it has a roll pan so here are some pics of after i took it off.

its been a while but im back. after being t-boned i went back to work on the truck. u cannot even tell that it was smashed.

so now i have upgraded my exhaust. i was custom by Lyons muffler. best work i have ever seen. i tuned the rest of the engine and did some more interior work. i just made a new center console for it but i do not have any pix yet.

im moving to texas and because of the less smog restrictions, i wil be supercharging it with a weber 38 carb, outlaw cam and a few more valve components. look forward to that one!

here are some pix of my truck a few days ago. ENJOY!

nice little yota ya got. Yotas are bullet proof. Mine has been totaled 3 times and has 300,000 miles. Could use more power. Possibly turbo?
