I bought this car on October 31, 1999 and spent the next 2 1/2 years performing a ground up restoration on it. The result was a first in class the first time I showed it. The restoration was documented here.

I did a restoration of a 1964 MGB back in the early 1980s it was red with black interior i paid $350. for it and sold it for $4500.00 I hated to let it go it was a blast to drive. I give you five stars for keeping it O.E. !

Wow, I love that car. I am a big fan of "small" cars. Very rarely do I find an old MG in such great condition. Yours is excellent. I love the little 4-cyclinder. How big is that, 1.5l? I do not know a whole lot about them. Well, I know I have the paint code writen down somewhere, but can't find it. I remember that the paint shop where I got the paint (PPG dealer) had a book that showed all 1978-79 Mazda paints. Mine was called Mazda "Joyfull Red." Sounds like a Mazda name alright. The original code that was on the car in '78 was code "Y-5." Although, I do not know if this was the code of the paint I used. I know for a fact that the color I painted the car WAS the original color of the car. Thanks...maznav
