Sadly enough everyone's car gets it's share of dings and dents occasionally, and mine has been no exception.
After a month of owning my car my poor side skirt met an insanely large curb while my wife was driving. She really is a good driver, but hey, everyone has a bad day now and again. It scuffed pretty deeply into the plastic, and there are some little dents in the rocker panel underneath it.
I later got a replacement skirt from a totaled 3, and Viola! no more scuffs. The new skirt did come with some pre-made rock dings (is that kinda like pre-ripping jeans?), but they're so small that you don't really notice them at a distance.
While talking to a friend I leaned against the rear passenger door. To my chagrin the panel popped in and didn't pop back out. I ended up pulling the dent out with the $20 "As seen on TV" Ding King myself. It wasn't a perfect repair, but not too bad for $20. and of course there's no longer a grapefruit sized dent in the door. I didn't actually take any "before" pictures, but believe me it was ugly.
