Meet the Chuxwagon: a 1988 Subaru GL wagon, it's got a 5-speed, and Dual Range shift on the fly true 4WD.
This is how I got it:
Then I added a 4" body lift from Allied Armament (pictured here with both steering shafts, stock and extended, and only one front strut extension)
15" pugeot alloy wheels (only thing that fits this 4 x 5.5" pattern), but essentially stock sized tires...oh yea, and timing belts, oil pump reseal and new water pump....(pictured in a little articulation shot, btw, this is before I removed the front sway bar)
she's got 225k miles on the dash, and I just replaced the clutch, and put in a lower mileage tranny (from my parts car) and driveshaft (had a seized rear U-joint) along with it.
