Corvette C5/Z06 Full Brake Upgrade

As I continue to acquire parts I am also looking for better upgrades. One such upgrade is the Corvette C5/Z06 brake upgrade. Normally thirdgenners do the C5 fronts and LS1 rears. This is for 2 reasons. The rear C5 calipers are a tad bit different that the LS1s which are pretty easy to adapt. The second is that the rear brakes are basically the same performance wise. Personally, I like the red calipers plus they were about the same in price with only a few dollars difference. This swap will consist of the C5/Z06 front and rear calipers, GM Ceramic Pads, and PowerSlot slotted rotors (LS1 rear, Corvette front). The nice part about the Corvette calipers is that they are pressure casted which makes them stronger than their sister calipers, the LS1s. I will be documenting my brake upgrade in the future. As of now I am still acquiring parts.

Here is a picture of the calipers that are being used.

These are the modified spindles, hubs, brackets, and hoses arrived from Ed Miller. First off, these products are far superior in quality to anything that I have seen in the aftermarket so far. This guy really did his homework and put in a lot of hard work. They look awesome!!

I assembled the fronts and ran into a little problem. Because you have to use a hub to hold the rotor, the rotor was pushed out a little too far. I had to use a washer on each abutment bracket bolt to properly space the caliper and pad. I did take a dremel to the abutment bracket as well.

just a uick comment bout the rear end u plan to use, with 4.10s and a 383 ull rip the rear end out before you can get haf way down the trak, they arnt very strong, id go with a good 12 bolt or a 9in, not the formulas 10 bolt.
