Phase V....Upgraded the wheels, suspension, and shifter....
My wife and I installed my birthday present.....a new ,Hurst short throw shifter she got for me.

Gave my step daughter my old Rims and Tires and ordered a new set of chrome Deep Dish Bullitts from Mustang Tuning.
They are Verde Custom Wheels rollin on Nitto 555 rubber. Front's are 18x9 with 255-45-18, followed by 18x10 with 285-40-18 on the rear.
Pics of the new tires on a rainy day.

BMR Fabrications was my choice for suspension upgrades. They offer a wide range of suspension parts for the new 05+ Mustangs.
Front Suspension Changes......................
New strut tower brace was installed.

To tie in the bottom end, I added a A arm support bar to join the lower K members.

Rear Suspension Upgrades
To help plant the new rear rubber and eliminate the dreaded wheel hop, I upgraded my Lower Control Arms with theses.
BMR on the left. Stock arms on the right....much flex potential.

Since I lowered my car, BMR suggested adding lowering brackets to get back the proper angle for the LCA's to function as they should.

Much elbow grease later, they are torqued down and ready for launch. No more wheel hop now!

And a good shot from beneath the car and behind it.

Looks like the old school traction bars from back in the day!
My thanks to the folks at BMR (Jason & Lee) who helped me out with all the "I don't know's?"
In my effort to maximize my performance potential, I did what most Mustang owners have done. I added a set of Ford Racing Performance Parts 4.10 rear end gears.

I took the car to Fast Lane Motorsports near Benson, NC for the install. They specialize in Fords and in particular Mustangs.
My car dyno'd with 291.5 RWHP and 299.1 Torque. Still room to grow with tweeking the tune. I got up with Doug at BAMA chips and he helped me fix the tune to accept the new gears.............MAN what a difference. You are in the powerband 24/7. No more down shifting. If you got a GT, Get these gears.
I then turned my attention to how my engine bay looked.
I decided to paint my cam covers and add a few braided hoses.
The picture on the left is before and the after is on the right.

I think just a few hours and a can of paint really woke up the engine compartment. What do you think.
