Well she started out a 1 owner coupe, BONE STOCK, with 253,000 miles. Bonus was, 5 spd, and 500 beans from the boneyard I found her. My buddy and I drove it home, and let it sit for a couple weeks, and scoured more boneyards. We came up with the tweed with blue/purple stripe 92 GTI interior, and snagged a 9a 16v on the way home. The same night the interior was swapped, including the german built red stripe dash for tilt. Work was now started, and there has been no turning back. I snagged the weitech 60/40 kit and a set of 'flakes from my buddy, and threw on a better stock grill and 1 headlight. The TT exhaust for a 16v went on with an adaptor, and was now presentable enough to take home. Low and behold the wife liked it better the the preceding bunny I had. A good buffing to turn the pink paint tornado red again and we were rocking. She remained this way, until I found a set of the current Keskin kt5's, 16x7.5, and 16x9. Soon, I found a set of girling 60 calipers, and snagged corrado 11.3" rotors, and ordered mk4 rear calipers, and the rest of the rear disc swap and did the brake swap with an Audi 5000 master cylinder. The 16v front spoiler went on, along with gli rear spoiler and the euro small bumps. A trip to WATERFEST netted me a badgeless grill and upper spoiler, but rt287 took care of the spoiler. Soon after, the e-code headlights went in, and the city lights are on the way.She still rocks the stock, unmodded now 254,000 mile 8 valve. Up and coming is an aba/16v/t3 combo I am working on, so we will undoubtedly wipe the little R's off all the rice!! Soon also some body work, fresh paint, and a little ice. Keep watching, There is way more to come!!!
UPDATE::::
Well I snapped the t-belt with 256,000 miles on the clock and just decided to do the swap. Specs and pics are added below. She should be running in the next few weeks.

bighauler's 1990 Volkswagen JettaWell, finally some swap progress, 50 trim t3, Zornig manifold, glass beaded intake mainifolds, rebuilt injectors, and a few goodies from bahn brenner motorsports. Soon that distributer will also be gone and the standalone is going in next along with custom fan wiring. I am mid-progress right now with so much in store, so stay tuned!!!
Another update-2/7/06- Well guys and girls, I have decided on another intercooler and to keep the small bumpers it has to go under the grill. Beings this intercooler is much wider, well,I kinda have to wander off track and go to some evil looking round smoked crosshairs. As soon as they are in place and I locate a 3-bar grill I will post some pics.
bighauler's 1990 Volkswagen Jetta2/20/06 update:::Well, I hate my new front end. I kinda like the look but loved the e-code aero's for some reason. What do you guys think?

The car was not ready for Show And Go, but we sold some parts in the vender area allowing me to get some more evilness. The door cards are now in, the engine bay almost wrapped up aside from the trans swap, and the mk3 battery and alternator cables are in. Hopefully when the ecu returns, I should be able to finally fire her up! I still have a bunch to get done, but we are sooo close!

OMG Pure sexx I havent seen your page in awhile but wow you have really come a long way siince I saw it. So I seee that you are running the 16v head with an aba block is that correct? I was actually wondering set up would work because I am wanting to boost my own dub. I have been looking at the BBM supercharger but am also interested in Kinetics new turbo set-up for the 8v. How much farther along has your car gotten, did you go to H20 and waterfest. thanks and updates of your car would be awesome, shes lookin soooo clean.

hey dude the car looks sweet. i love a clean mk2. i think u shud keep the new front end, but either way looks good on the jetta. if it were a golf it wud need the round headlights in my opinion but for a jetta either one looks good. anyways, come check out my mk3 golf wolfsburg when u get a chance!

I love the new front end looks real O.G. plus you got the functionality with your new intercooler and great looks to go along with it, you'll get used to it I bet. I noticed that you have a lightened flywheel I was thinking of getting one for my dub but do you need to do anything other than replace the clutch with it and where can I get a euro tub for the rear license plate. Thanks the new look is definatly good!
