Update! I recently picked up a Series 5 6port NA engine. It needs a rebuild and I plan to streetport it while I'm in there. Hoping for about 180Hp to the rear wheels when it's all done. Check back later for updates.
I bought this RX in March of 2005 for $500. It's got 80k o n it and the Wankel is still going strong. It had some co smetic damage and needed some cleaning up.
The guy I bought it from had rear-ended a conversion van with a nice pointy trailer hitch. Although all of the damage was cosmetic, it's still work to be done. Since there was still quite a bit of snow on the ground here in Michigan, I got to work on the interior and electrical work. The headlights had been damaged in the wreck so they would come up, but not on. At the same time I worked on bending out the hood inside where it was warm.
