I decided to dedicate my time towards the chevelle. I stripped it down, put new quarters on and repaired some rust. Here are some pics: This car is a true 1970 ss 454. Here are some mods to the engine I did in order to get it running better.
1. replaced carb with a 750 square bore double pump holley
2. aluminum rpm intake.
3. ported, polished and matched the ports at work( nice to work in a machine shop:)
4. replaced the h.e.i ignition with a mallary high voltage distributor and coil. top 2 pics are old. bottom is new.
I drove to Brewton alabama in early april to get her.It was 15 hrs and 1000 miles 1 way but it was worth the 13k. As a note al is a beautiful state.I have a few pics up now but i will post more.
I put in new glass, had the chrome re-chromed and dyed the interior.
so, how did I do?
