Goatdrvr73's 1967 Pontiac GTO

(NOTE: A sad day indeed, my car just sold. If you were brought here from my online car ad, enjoy the photos but the car is now sold. Time to contemplate a new project in a few months after I get settled in my new job. Thanks for all the nice comments)
Thanks for Stopping by and checking out my GTO. I've been a Ford guy all my life and have owned many a mustang over the years. This my first venture to the "dark" side and I must say I LOVE it. This is a 1967 GTO with a NOM 400/4bbl and a HD 3 speed manual trans. GTOs came standard from the factory with 3 speed manual gearboxes, but almost everyone ordered the optional 4 speed. My car is an L2 color code, which is Mariner Turquoise and a black vinyl top. Options were floor mats, air conditioning, power steering, chrome drip rail moldings and Ralley II wheels as well as a console.

This is a shot of the interior. Nice black vinyl and woodgrained dash and console. Planned additions to this is a set of factory Rally gauges for the dash. I also plan a Wood Sport steering wheel. Other than that, the interior needs nothing

Here's a fully restored 1965 tripower setup I purchased that will be bolted onto the 400. Everything I'm doing to the car is with factory parts, nothing cheesey or not an option on the original Goat. No big tach on the dash or gauges mounted under the steering wheel. Now yes, Pontiac discontinued the tripower option in 67, but most were bought over the counter and bolted onto owners of 67s as the tripower was "the" setup to run on the street. Eye candy no doubt and will only add value to the car. It's already repainted the correct Ponitac blue metallic for 67. Just sleeping and waiting to roar!!
I have all these parts waiting for summer and fall cruises to end so they can be bolted on in the winter. I'll post more pictures when I add these items: Wood Sport wheel, New wood dash onlay, Rally gauges, Tripower carburetors, stock chrome valve covers, correct underhood decals and wires. Thanks for looking and stay tuned....

Nice resto but pontiac 400 ci motors werent considered big blocks neither were any other pontiac motor. Pontiac used the same block from 326-455 ci. So most parts are interchangeable.

Awesome car. I don't know why it doesn't have 5 stars.
