My name is Derek, I'm 20 years old from Northern California. I currently live in Sacramento, where I go to school at UTI, training to be an automotive technician. Ive been working on the Neon for almost two years now, and its coming along well. It's by far one of the most underrated platforms for tuning. With a four wheel independant suspension (macpherson), light weight, and solid engine design, it is truly a force to be reckoned with.
My philosophy on building cars is that they should be clean, simple, and designed to perform well all-around. Huge power numbers aren't nearly as important as a car that's well balanced. It should be proficient in cornering, braking, accelerating, and just generally fun to drive. A little style is also key to setting the car apart from the others on the street, but it shouldn't be overdone or tacky.
Props to my friends over at 2gn.org for all their help and support.
