YellowBanana's 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo

This is my 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS with the High Sport Appearance Package. It is an all competition yellow limited edition with the ebony leather interior. My dad had leased this car brand new, and I bought it when the lease was up in 2005. I've done quite a few modifications to the car since buying it, and I plan on doing some more modifications to it in the future.

The ground effects for the competition yellow High Sport SS were only available in two colors for 2003: silver two-tone and yellow. The production numbers for the SS in 2003 were 39,996. Unfortunetly, GM does not have the production numbers for every edition made in 2003.

Speedometer and tachometer cluster. The key wasn't in the "on" position, so the mileage isn't shown. As of August 2009, the car has 116k miles on it. I average about 24k miles a year.

The engine is currently all stock. The 3800 Series II V6 puts out 200 horsepower at 5,200 rpm and 225 lb.-ft. of torque at 4,000 rpm. I plan to do some modifications to the engine eventually so I can get more power out of the car. I leave nothing unkept on the car. The engine compartment gets routine detailing.

Some HDR pictures of the bottom of the car after some detailing. The factory exhaust is still in pretty good shape. When it needs replacing or when I feel like doing it, I'm planning on having a custom dual exhaust run from the engine to the rear and some slightly larger exhaust tips.
