2005 G-35 6MT Coupe. Basicly as of now its just that, but soon to change. Fully loaded except for the XM service, including Premium Package (Sunroof, Bose Stereo, Electrochromic/Home Link Rearview Mirror, Aero Package (Rear Spoiler, Rear Side air diffusers), Navigation, 19' Rims.
9/1 - Im expecting my Amp and Wireing kit to arrive tomoro, so here I took some pics of the trunk just for some before and after shots. =\ The speaker and box should be coming in sometimes next week.
9/3/05 - Just got my amp and wireing kit! Unfortunately the speaker and box is on backorder still and should ship around wednesday, but im gonna go ahead and start wireing so the hard work is out of the way.
9/12/05 - I ended up wireing the car and all, but im gonna be returning the amp and speakers I purchased. I Decided to buy 2 10" Rockford Fosgate Stage 3 Punch speakers and this nifty custom box I found on EBay - so pics to come as soon as I get it all set up.
10/05/05 - Almost a month since I decided to get a system!!! Unfortunately everything has gone wrong, from 3 different amps, redoing the power cable cause it was too short, to 2 fuses, and a whole new fuse kit completely! I can confidently say im gonna be getting my official amp this monday. Had a problem with my old amp, it simply sucked. Then ordered a new one and it came wihtout a fan, moment I turned that on it started to smoke. Anyways, amp gets here monday, as of now I have a friends amp there to use till then, here are some pics to accomidate this story, as for the wireing, when I get my amp it wont look like garbage. On a possitive note, the box fits beautifully!
Heres a before and after shot of my old/new fuse, after having 60A fuse blow on me 3 times I decided to buy a 200A fuse, lets see this one fry.
11/9/05 - Lighting mods have commenced! I got my clear corners in and bought some LED bulbs to replace both the Clearance strip and the Clear corner lights. As well as replaced my foglight bulbs - here are some pics to show the before and after pics of the fog, unfortunately I didnt get a pic of the clearance strip lights, but just look at any other g35 pic at night.
12/14/05 - Well I decided over the past week to convert my navigation screen into something usefull. Keep in mind that besides the fact the navigation system is sometimes more lost than I am, I never use it, therefor it needs a better use. So, I bought a TVandNav2Go plug and play video converter for the Navi screen, which hooked up right behind the unit and then purchased a PAC AAI-NIS unit from ebay....they sent me a different company unit, but it did the same thing so it doesnt matter.
Also, I went ahead and took some new pics of the car, plus of the switch's I added to control both the aftermarket subwoofer's and a switch to control my navi screen, flip for navigation stock, flip for video input! It looks very sleek and it gives a sense of pride knowing you did it yourself, ill have a DVD player and a PS2 in there soon, will update with pics later on, but for now here are some pics of the install. (I added a terminal block as well, as you will see in one of the pics, this will make sapping 12v and ground alot easiar throughout my mods)
