I know the engine is tired and old. But it does run really well for now I will leave it alone.

Interior is some kinda "Diamond Disco Era" stuff that I simply cannot stand. It also will be replaced.

ok now we start the slow teardown of the suspension
started by removing the gas tank and the passanger side leafspring. Im sanding off all the undercoating to clean steel to be repainted with POR-15. removed the trunklid trunklid springs, rear bumper, rearwindow, passenger side tire and the taillight lenses
here she is. pretty huh?

poor old gas tank. I stripped it and just shot some cheap spray paint on it for now. will be restripped and painted with grey or silver POR-15 before it goes back in

ok well cleaning the underside and welding every seam and hole (no rust yet!!!) got really to be to much I needed some "eye candy" or just something else todo besides get dirty every minute I worked on it so I put on some parts. Del-u-lum body bushings are in easy job took about 1 hour todo 4. I have read and will not put aluminum in the radiator support those will be poly. anyway hotchkis competition leafs (2" drop) are in Edelbrock IAS shocks are in (rear) and in went the Slide-A-Link set
hope these show what im talking about

camaro_27's 1973 Chevrolet Camaro

here is one with out all the crap

camaro_27's 1973 Chevrolet Camaro

hard to see I know But she sits much better in the rear then before

camaro_27's 1973 Chevrolet Camaro

and just a last thing I did was install a split bumper I know alot dont like it (fake). but I like the turn signals under the bumper not a fan of the round "eyes" anyway not a great pic but here ya go

camaro_27's 1973 Chevrolet Camaro

Thats as far as Ive finished. I have along way togo
Ive bought most of the parts needed. Hotchkis coilsprings, PST Superfront end kit Im replacing the poly graphite bushings in the kit for aluminum from global west. and these competition engineering subframe connectors. which are not going in the car really would recommend not buying these they require you to "modify" your floor pan. you choose modify the 100.00 connectors or a few thousand dollar car these will be scraped and I will replace them with a weld in set from Global West
