darkyellow's 1974 Mazda 1300

The start, $150 from the local wrecking yard....

darkyellow's 1974 Mazda 1300

Every nut and bolt removed including the 1300 style Dash and supporting framework . A R100 Dash will be fitted later in the build up.

darkyellow's 1974 Mazda 1300

The entire shell has now been chemically stripped with standard paint stripper. I used around 20 litres in total.

g'day mate how are ya? just curious as to weither or not u can help me, im getting a 1300 wagon with the month. needs paint and some cleaning up here and there, was wondering who u took your wagon to as i also live in townsville, also was looking on ebay for 1300 parts and was not sure is fiborglass pannals and doors would be the way to go as my doors, bonnet and front gards arnt perfect. also how much work would be needed to fit 17's to a 1300 wagon (have posted a forum on ausrotary and was not of any help) last think for a paint job as clean as yours how much would i be looking at to pay. kind regards benn

It's a lot of work you put in your car, but a Mazda 1300 deserves it. I love these cars and bought one myself 2 weeks ago: A yellow 1977 sedan automatic. When I have pictures taken of her I will put them on this site. Keep up the good work.
