mbloch's 1999 Chevrolet Silverado

Mad props to FullSizeChevy for enticing me into spending thousands of dollars on a truck that was perfectly fine to start with.

LIFT, WHEELS, ETC.

Performance Accessories 3" body lift + Rough Country 3" suspension lift. Tires are BFG 315/75/16 KM Mud Terrains, wheels are 16X8 Ultra Type 182s (look halfway down the page). Differential has Richmond 4.10 gears. A lot of guys ask about the maximum size tire they can run with a certain set-up. In my case, with some pretty heavy trimming, my 3+3 accomodates them fine, with only minor rubbing offroad.

PERFORMANCE

Kenne Bell supercharger @ 8 psi. Doug Thorley Tri-Y headers to a Magnaflow 3" SI/DO.

EXTERIOR

Ranch Hand "Cowboy" bumper, Westin nerf bars, Trenz billet bowtie and eBay billet grille.

ELECTRONICS

Bel RX65 radar detector, Kenwood KDC-2025 w/ Sirius, Kenwood KFC6979IE 6X9s. Audio system is lame, I know, but it's good enough to listen to Howard Stern.

Mike, 5* on your rig. That looks sweet. When you say 3" suspension lift... is it an actual suspension lift or the 3" leveling kit with keys and blocks? I'm curious cause your truck's stance looks stout. How much backspacing do you have on your wheels? Come visit my site and let me know. Thanks.

My temp has never gone above 210, but i dont think thats because of the hood. I bought the truck like this and it had the stock instalator on the hood. I've contimplated taking it off but herd(more people dont believe it though) the temps can ruin paint. However if it does release heat, and would pry work much better if i took the insulator off. Plus it looks AWESOME! But if i had to do it again i'd want to get a hood that had a intake so i could use it as ram air.
