This is a 1966 Holden HR sedan, boys and girls. Well, the shell is, anyway. Wanna know how to spend au$25k and do 11s in a 40yr old holden? Read on.

Now, rip everything off and out of it, and start afresh.
Stick one of these between the strut towers -

That is originally a 350 chev, lifted from an HQ Statesman.
Now, rip that apart too. Stick in forged Flat top pistons and a 427 stoker crank for starters. Then lash out $1200 for a billet alloy drivetrain, for EACH HEAD. While we're on the heads, make sure they are Vic Jnrs, with a bit more massaging to the ports and chambers. Attach these with thinner gaskets to get some higher compression.
What next? umm, head to noyzworks and throw them 20 $100 dollar bills to make you a full custom twin exhaust with custom extractors, which go through the front guards, seeing as there is NO WAY they will fit down past your engine block.
Get an edelbrock performer manifold (yeah, its not too crazy but ill tell you why later) and port match it to the vic jnr heads. Bolt down a barry grant demon 1000cfm on top of that and top it off with a massive KnN, and thats pretty much the engine. oh, a cam with a custom grind also went in somewhere. And some 12mm leads, MSD electric ignition.

To fit that engine in, youre looking at putting in a later model crossmember, custom mounts, moving your wiper motor and brake booster, getting a custom steering column made, and a commodore sterring rack. Get it to sit as low as possible, and youll find that the top of your carby will sit flush with your bonnet skin.
Hence, the low set manifold. Cut a hole in your bonnet (theres no way around it, boys. i wish there was) and stick your filter on and away you go.

Now to fit that Turbo 400 box, youll need to cut out your transmission column and fabricate a new one. Whack it in behind your 2800 stally and your away! Diff is a 10bolt. Discs all round (it came out with drums all round). Umm, Throw some lowering blocks onto your rear leafs, but not too much - make sure you 245 rubber fits. Lower your front coils.

Then... Spend $4000 on a set of one-off billets from dragway. 16x7s up front, 16x9s up the back... Gnarly.

Seats are Autotechnica Monzas. Tiller is Momo. Shifter is a BnM Pro Ratchet. Rear seats? none. Door trims? none. Stereo? 427chev.

The car cost $200 originally, maybe 5 yrs ago. Straight as a dime. Came with spare glass, doortrims and bumpers! So far... maybe $25000 has been thrown at it. gotta love those connections! QLD Dyno and Automotive performance! Shawn Craven! Look 'em up!
