If you know me or how I drive. You would know that the skinny peddle is always on the floor, and that god made seatbelts to save lives, and made brakes for pussies.
That being said the javelin which "had" around 6,000 miles on the engine it sneased, caughing up a valve, then a head, followed by a very angry piston.
So out it came and another rebuild it is getting.
This time its getting .30 over slugs with rebuilt 401 heads, now I won't have to get 110 leaded gas 94 will be OK.
AMC motors are not as cheep as a chevy or ford, parts are hard
to find and cost a lot more, progress will be slow but worth the wait.
Here is the motor now it just needs a few more gaskets, and paint to be finished, oh and I'm waiting on a new dipstick tube.

Some extra parts, NOT FOR SALE

OOPS...backed into Dads jet boat

Oh I almost forgot I finaly had my Jeep washed!!

Now I'm working on getting it dried.
This is my 1973 AMC javelin AMX, I bought this car just after my 17th birthday. It is my first car. There is only has 59,000 miles on the clock, I bought it barn fresh with 53,000 miles it came from Montana where it had been stored sence 1976.
It has a factory color of fresh plumb metallic..Not pink!, and the factory black vinyl top.

It has a 360ci motor with the go package, an auto 727 tranny and 411 factory gears.

The go package includes 140 mph speedo and the tach with the clock inside if you look close you can see the stock 8 track.

The interior is rare from what I'm told it's called pierre cardin and was only offered for two years. The head liner is just as wild as the seats.

This is me and my wife at my sisters weading. Kind of a family photo.
In june I got hitched here is some of my favorite pictures.
I'm not sure why some are small I'll work on that later.

I got the car and the girl on the same day, Ten years later to the day we were married.

And this is the view that all the area police get to see after the pull me over for: loud exhaust (its stock), no seat belts (I always ware them), cracked windshield ( there is no crack), but my favorite is the repair and report I recieved when I was changing a flat tire.
Thanks Middleville/hastings cops.

The weather is crappy now, so I will have more pictures of the javelin in the spring or summer.

Here is a picture of a 74 javelin AMX hopefully mine will look this nice someday.

This is my Javelin AMX next to my 02 Jeep RUBICLONE

Thanks for looking at my ride,
Erik
