Here is my new ride, a 2005 Pontiac GTO with a 6.0L LS2 V8 with 400hp and 400tq straight out of the 05 Corvette. It has a Tremec 6 speed manual gearbox and 3.46 rear gear both with Royal Purple fluids. The engine now has a Volant cold air intake, matching hand painted fuel rail covers and a custom catch can for the PCV system and an SLP 160? thermostat. The exterior is upgraded with 4300K HID's on the low beams and 18x8" front, 18x9" rear custom ZE Forged wheels with a one off powder coat finish. Those ride on BFG KDW2 rubbers, 235x40 up front, 275x35 in the rear. It also has the front half of the optional Sport Appearance Package and the upper grill inserts which are painted flat black.
The car made 354rwhp and 355rwtq with only the Volant intake and 160? t-stat. Kooks long tube headers and a NitrousOutlet.com "halo" dry nitrous system are on order and dyno tested very soon! BMR "Drag Bags" rear airbags will also be installed as soon as the weather warms up outside. The bags reduce rear squat and wheel hop during a hard launch during drag racing and results in much better short times.
The future has much in store for this Goat. Currently on order are ceramic coated stainless steel Kooks long tube headers, a NitrousOutlet.com "halo" nitrous system and necessary parts. Other upcoming mods include ASP underdrive pulley, HPE street cam and a cat-back exhaust system. Estimated WHP should be in the 420whp to 450whp range without nitrous and well over 500whp on nitrous upon completion.
