This is my 1954 Chrysler Windsor, affectionately named "lurch". I bought it about a month ago and have recently gotten it into driving condition. It needs new tires badly. These tires must be at least 30 years old. It is all stock, right down to the 6 volt battery and flathead 6 cylinder engine. It is definitely not as rusty as the pics though.

I don't really know what I'm planning to do with it yet, I will probably switch it over to 12 volt but keep the rest pretty much original.
The interior is in great condition for the age of the car. I was amazed when I initially went and saw the car.

I love the fact that there is no park setting on the automatic "PowerFlite" transmission, just pop it in neutral and set the parking brake!
I guess I am just in love with the car in general :)
Here are a couple more recent pics.

Also two really neat things came with this car;the owners manual and the original bill of sale.
The car was originally bought in Nov. 1953 for $3542 and came with the following options(all of which it still has): Two tone paint(Everglades Green upper and Mint Green Lower), PowerFlite Transmission, 8 Tube Radio, 602 Heater, Solid Glass, w/s/w Tires, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Electric Clock.
This is Fascinating to me! (I am a nerd, I know) :)
If you have any tips for restoring it let me know!
