Engine Bay Restoration....

66furypdl's 1966 Plymouth Gran Fury

The engine bay in this car looks terrible. There is rust all over and the engine was sprayed flat black. So, this was my first area of concern.

I pulled off the valve covers and hope to spray them with aluminum paint. They were fairly clean, which would be expected for a car with such low mileage.

The valve train looked real clean as show in this picture.

The aircleaner was in need of a good painting.

Here is the engine after the valve covers have been painted and the aircleaner. Much better....but once we power wash the rest of the engine and paint it, the results should be great.

Here is the engine bay after a lot of work. The hood was blasted and the fender wells and firewall were down to bare metal. Not done yet though....

Hey man ever get that 6pack installed? I'm considering installing one on my 318 LA and am wondering what the performance difference is like! I'm sure it's awesome! Keep up the good work and check out my Coronet in progress when you get a chance!

TTI is the only source of headers which i would install on a car. Expensive but very nice.

Nice ride and engine. I voted for red body with chrome wheels in your poll. Take a look at my car and you'll understand why
