This is my Dad's 1966 Dodge Polara on the day I gave it to him. It has a 318 in it from a 1978 Plymouth duster and a 2bbl carb from a 1968 383. It's not a big powerhouse but it get's good gas milage and can still can spin the tires (and isn't that what counts?). I put a new high volume oil pump in and other then that it's never been opened.

This is a picture of the friend that I bought the car from smoking the tires. When he bought it the orignal 318 wide block still ran well but after a few brake-stands and racing some Mustangs the motor was toast. He swapped in the newer 318 and put the old cast-iron water pump on to accommodate the old radiator, and installed a new double roller timing chain and gears. A 391 Posi also went in. Shortly after he painted it White to save the body from rusting, as to the old paint was fall off the car. He drove it for a while and then parked it. At that point he didn't have much use for it anymore, he wanted to concentrate on his 69 Dart. So I bought it for $1200 basically as you see it plus a thick layer of dust which he threw in for free. It had no carb, a leaky radiator, and the 391 posi chunk but my friend needed it back for the Dart. So I had an extra set of 294 gears laying around and in they went, it also had a four bbl intake on it but i didn't have a good carb for it so I put on a 2bbl intake and carb. The radiator problem was resolved after I swapped out the old cast-iron water pump for a newer style and put an over-sized Cordoba rad in. I was going to drive it but I really didn't need it so i gave it to my Dad.
