I bought it in May 2000 after I had an accident with my first car, a 1968 Buick Wildcat that I had for eight years.

I ordered the VIN information for my Riv from GM Canada and here's what they sent me.
Some factory options were not listed as the car also came with door edge guards, an AM-FM stereo radio with a rear seat speaker, a power antenna, a remote controlled outside mirror and fast ratio power steering. The original hubcaps were replaced by Buick chrome rims by the previous owner and the 4 note horns were gone when I got it. I had to find another set from another 67 Riv.

Soon after I got it, I had the front seat redone and did a few electrical and mechanical repairs.
In 2002, I blew it's engine and bought a 67 Wildcat parts car with the same second series 67 430 as well as a 67 Riviera that was almost a twin to mine but it's engine was the early 67 430.
I took off the A/C from this Riv and installed it in mine while the 67 Wildcat's engine was being rebuilt.

In spring 2003, me and a friend who also owns a 67 Riviera bought another 67 Riviera GS parts car from which I took the cornering lights, Electro-Cruise (Buick's early cruise control) and power door locks. This car also had the Automatic Climate Control but it was not functionnal so I didn't install it in my car. This car doesn't look too bad but almost everything would have needed to be replaced. Most of the body panels were poorly repaired and rusted out under the plastic filler and fiberglass.

Then we went to Flint for the Buick Centennial celebration. We had a great time there!
Since then, we both replaced our coil springs as his car was sitting too high and mine was sitting too low! Now, mine doesn't scrape the ground like it used to and his doesn't look like an AMC Eagle! (I mean this is OK for an Eagle but not for a Riv!)

Later that year, somebody had brake problems on his '90 Grand Am and hit my car on the front end...
Here's the result...
It required some parts from my blue parts car.
It was repaired by the local Buick dealer which did a nice job. It was also repainted at the same time as the old paint was getting faded.
I got it back in January and couldn't wait to drive it and take some pics!

Just a few months later, I had another accident, this time the parts were harder to find...
It was repaired again at my Buick dealer who had to get some parts in PA for it. The parts manager who likes old cars and owns a nice '65 Corvette met the seller at Carlisle and brought them back from there.
The seller did sell me some additional parts at the same time. He's a nice guy!

Other pics of my Riv and some friends Rivs

A good friend's '66 Riv that we partially restored and that I repainted:

With the help of his oldest daughter, he completely stripped the paint off the body, then we removed the rust...

Repaired, repainted and partially reassembled
After some polishing and reassembly!
