Our 1955 Chevrolet 210 Two Door Post
Before rebuild.___________________________________Latest picture.
This car was purchased by my grandfather in 1955 in Mass. It was kept in a garage all winter to avoid rusting.
We purchased it from my father in 1969, had it painted in 1971 and re-upholstered in about 1985. In 2001 we started a frame off modification.
We purchased a 383" SBC with Edelbrock heads and intake, Comp roller cam and rockers, Headman Camero headers and Holly 770 Street Avenger carb.
We have added a Jim Meyers IFS with front disks, r&p steering, & QA coil overs, a Chassis Works Fab 9" with ladder bars and coil overs, Explorer rear disks, Currie axles, Ford 9" diff. w/3.70 gears and Tracloc, BowTie Overdrives 700R4 with 2500 rpm lockup converter, Weld Rodlite rims, Goodrich tires, Vintage Air a/c and Frontrunner serpentine pulleys, Raingear wipers, CPP 8" dual master cyl., Mattson 2 pass aluminum radiator and a/c condenser, Ididit tilt column, AAW Factory Fit wiring, Grant steering wheel, Pertronix Ignitor ignition, Detroit Speed ps pump and lines, Earl Williams motor mounts and crossmember, Lokar parking brake lines.
I am doing all the work myself, so far.
This car has no rust and everything was in working order when we started dissassembly.
Sitting on it's own suspension for the first time. Checking out the stance and fit of the Weld Rodlite's and Goodrich tires. The Meyer's IFS includes a 2" drop in the front end. The Chassis Work's ladders can be adjusted over several inches.
