Some more VWs I've owned in the past.
1977 VW Scirocco, I bought this car in 2000, from a Usenet message system that was near my hometown. It needed some electrical work to get her on the road and some tweaking but with a bit of work it was a real blast.
I bought the car with a 1.8 10.1:1 CR GTI motor and a 4k Code 3.94 R&P short ration gearbox, Bilstein Sport Shocks, S&S sway bars, strut tower bar, Scirocco S interior and Corrado leather steering wheel installed, 13" Rial Wheels, mild cam and it also had the S front Spoiler. I replaced the Back Hatch, installed 205/60/13 Yokos, an Autotech header and an Autotech Exhaust system w/resonator and Dynomax Superturbo muffler (Sounded sweet). I replaced the ignition switch and gave her a general tune up. Stu Brumer of BSI Racing blue-printed the fuel injection system for max power output (CIS Basic). I also had a swiss cheezed air box, so I plopped a K&N filter in there. Unfortunately the car had some rust when I purchased it (it'd been sitting a couple years) and I never could get it under control and she became to rusty and unsafe to drive.
Update: As of August 15th 2005 I am no longer the proud owner of this once beautiful MK1 :( I sold her to some fella in Ashfield MA for $375. Even with all the goodies I couldn't get anymore than that for the car. F'in sucks big time, but I could no longer enjoy the car and it was better going to someone who had the time to salvage what parts could be salvaged off of her.

Here's the car that started it all with the VWs a 1984 Rabbit GTI, it started out as Silver, and then I added the MK1 Scirocco lights and grille, and then painted it blue, becomming known as "The Blue Flame".

This was my Last Daily Driver VW a 1988 Golf GL, I added a 1991 Complete GTI Interior, Alpine Stereo (and kenwood/polk speakers). I did a full suspenion/Front end rebuild, a new rebuilt head, and a host of other parts.
