cifer6425’s Honda Prelude

    • Currently 3.3/5 Stars.

The Prelude is back from the paint shop. New pictures can be found on page two. Page three is the new suspension and various other mods.

Thanks for looking.

cifer6425's 1994 Honda PreludeThis is my 94 Prelude that I acquired back in 2000. I swapped the engine myself, and have done small interior work to the car as well. The car is mostly stock; I really dont plan to do much to it. Right now my stereo is starting to show its age (~10 yr), the paint needs some attention and I would like to get suspension work done as well.

cifer6425's 1994 Honda PreludeBesides the engine swap, about the only other "big" thing I have done to it is the 5 lug swap. I did this for a couple of reasons; 1) looks 2) something different 3) 5th gen wheels look good on a 4th gen Prelude 4) better rim selection 5) improved braking over SI brakes. While I was at it I replaced stock rotors with Brembo blanks up front/ generic in rear, PBR (Axxis) Metal Master Brake Pads all the way around, ATE Super Blue fluid and SS brake lines.

cifer6425's 1994 Honda PreludeYep thats an EBay intake you see behind the Spoon strut bar. Sometimes you gotta be cheap!

cifer6425's 1994 Honda PreludeFor a 4th gen cooling plate check out forbiddenmotorsports.com; they also make a true short shifter for 92-96 Preludes.

cifer6425's 1994 Honda PreludeThe shifter boot and ebrake boot was done by RedlineGoods.com; they can custom make any boot you need. Their leather is top quality; for a sample of there colors you can check this page.

cifer6425's 1994 Honda Prelude This is actualy an old picture. I now have hiden the tweeter back behind the grill. I will post new pictures of the set up in a little while.

cifer6425's 1994 Honda PreludeI finally got around to adding some performance parts to the engine. A set of UR pulleys were added when I changed the timing belt and converted from auto to manual tensioner.

cifer6425's 1994 Honda PreludeI have had the Koyo radiator for a while, although I was still using my stock fans. Yes you can use your stock fans, although its a tight squeeze. So I finally got some slim fans and made the bracket to mount them as well.

cifer6425's 1994 Honda PreludeJust a creative picture.

cifer6425's 1994 Honda PreludeBecause everyone likes night shots and black cars look so good at night time.

cifer6425's 1994 Honda PreludeI finally decided to install my Seibon CF hood. The fitment is pretty good. Its not stock but I have seen a lot worse. This is before the repaint of the car. To see how I had the hood painted check out page two.

cifer6425's 1994 Honda PreludeI have had the Skunk2 shift knob for a couple of years. I finally broke down and bought the forbiddenmotorsports.com short shifter to go along with my cooling plate. I am still using my custom shift boot from RedlineGoods.com. I would recommend the short shifter to anyone in the market for one.
