The wheels are 17" x 7" OZ Executives. Any Mercedes, Audi (if you enlarge the center any machine shop will do this cheap), and some BMW 5 lug wheels will fit. The front lowering kit was actually made by a local guy, but you can buy it as a complete bolt on kit (suggested) or a weld on kit, thru www.Bus-Boys.com (look on the left for Suspension Conversions - Type 2 & Vanagon). These guys are great for all sorts of parts you will or may need. PLEASE NOTE: The following is to be done AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! Lift the vehicle and place on heavy duty jack stands. DO NOT TRUST YOUR JACK TO HOLD THE BUS UP ALONE!!!!! As for lowering the rear, all you have to do is remove the wheels, the brakes, detach the axles, remove the four bolts holding the swing arm cover plate, and then slide the swing arm out and rotate it upwards on the internal tortional leaf spring. You will need to determine how many "notches" or tortion plates, for the appropriate height you are looking for. Remeber to shave your bump stops (sawz-all or hack saw), small 1/2" increments at a time (looks like a dogs kong toy)and definately upgrade your shocks, adjustable air-ride are the best and very easy to install. ALSO - make sure you dont lower the rear so much you cant change the wheel, in other words if its too low you wont be able to clear the wheel well skirt to get the wheel on or off. Its been a long time or I would tell you how many notches to adjust to. Best of luck... AGAIN this work is to be done AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! I will not be held responsible for any errors or injurys that may occur.
