This is my first new car ever. I bought it new in May 1985, and it quickly became my baby. It was driven as an every day car the first year and a half, but kept under covers...and then was pampered from that day, to the present. Now it is garage kept under covers! It is all original except for the aluminum aftermarket wheels, and Sony cassette/radio, and actually has the original belts and hoses. Don't worry...they're still in great shape. This car has only 28,000 original miles. I now take it to car shows, and attract quite alot of attention. As we all know not many are around in this sort of shape. Maybe for the right price I would sell it someday...but for now... I am enjoying the attention I get in this "still awesome driving" car. Ya gotta love the Turbo and handling!
More pics to come...I am getting it ready for the Mopar Classic car show soon...
Page 2 contains pics from the Sept.3 2005 All Mopar Show...Please feel free to leave feedback (I'd appreciate it)
Thanks!
This is the engine before cleaning for the show. After pics are located below...
These interior pics are of the car 20 years after rolling off the line and 1 week before the Mopar show. Only minor cleaning was required. Notice the mileage on the odometer...thats right 28,000!
These are pics directly after approx. 48 hours of cleaning, TLC and detailing. More exterior pics will be coming from the show.
These pics are of the 2.2 Turbo, after cleaning for the show. Virtually no modifications have taken place other than re-friction taping badly dryrotted tape over the numerous wire harnesses. Other than that cleaning and polishing 20 years of dust is all that has taken place...but still check out the picture before the cleaning started, compared to after it was completed. Time well spent I think!?
