Work done to turn Normal Miata to a 10sec 450+hp beast. So far the Car Dynoed 370 on a blown headgasket, and ran 12.2@120 on blown headgasket, and a misshift to 3rd gear.
Lets keep those intake temps down. 22X16X3 intercooler.

These shots show the difference between the rods in the FE3 and the Rods from a SR20DET. The DET rods are known to hold over 400hp.. The FE3 rods have yet to be proven, but by these shots they should hold some serious power.
Both forged. FE3 is heavier, but that is hard to avoid with a strong rod.
Notice the longer FE3 Rod. Same bore and stroke on the motors. The longer rod from the FE3 should help dwell in the motor and keep high RPM flow through the motor. The slightly shorter SR20DET rod should help low end response and torque.
The FE3 uses a larger wristpin area and is full floating unlike the press pin of the SR20DET Rod.
Too all you SR20 Fans out there I am not trying to bash the SR20 in any way. I love and repsect that motor. I am simply using the proven rod from the SR20 as a comparison.
