The next StreetGlow upgrade is the addition of a ProStreet strobe kit.
This kit required extensive mods on the headlight assemblies. Because these strobes are available only in white, off the shelf strobes were purchased and gutted. The strobes were then mounted, and the casings reassembled.
Next the Blazer's headlamp assemblies were removed and a port was fabricated on the high beam side. Then the strobes were fitted into the Blazer's headlamps (one red, one blue) using a soft PVC to seal the opening and provide some protection against road vibration, and finally hard mounted using a two part epoxy.
Strobes were also added to the front parking lamp assembly (amber), and the rear tail lamp assembly (red) for a total of six independant stobes.
The the transformer and controller were mounted and wiring installed. Unfortunately, like neons, these 80 watt strobes can not be use on public roads.
The next StreetGlow upgrade is the addition of a ProStreet neon kit.
These pictures show the final installation of the neon tubes. The rear tube is located high over the tire rack, the side tubes are located under the rocker panel providing protection from rock and road debris from the tires, and the front tube is located behind the airbag sensors.
Stock Lighting
All of the stock interior white lights were swapped out with blue mood lights.
And the stock headlamps were replaced with 7000K high watt lamps. 100w low beam and 120w high beam Nokya's were used. Giving the lights a blue 'Euro' HID look.
The images below show the stock lamps on the Left and the new 7000K lamps on the Right.
