This is my 1992 EB XR6 Falcon, its a 4.0L manual, with optional factory bodykit an MOMO steering wheel.

Came from factory with a alloy head OHC inline 6 making 161kW at the flywheel, a 3.45:1 LSD with a T5 manual and ABS.

All the mods you see here are performed by myself, with the exception of the exhaust system which was obviously done by a professional.

Engine mods prior to turbo fitment (more info below) were a K&N pod filter with cold air intake, heat shield from the engine bay, and an intake snorkel from an XH Falcon ute, along with Jim Mock Motorsport extractors and a 2.5" mandel bent exhaust and two straight through mufflers.

Big cam and valvesprings and vernier cam gear were fitted for the 14.5 second run, since then an etirely new computer has been fitted, and a turbo, manifold, wastegate, intercooler, injectors, fuel pump etc have been fitted, and new block/crank/pistons etc have been purchased, with the ultimate goal of making 450hp at the treads.

Hopefully the turbo will be running 'stage one' by the end of 2005(9psi on stock motor, to sort the tune before the 'good' motor goes in...)

I have fitted thermo fans from a later model EL Falcon, switched by the new computer. The thermostat housing and top hose are also from a EL falcon.

Dyno figure is backed up by a 14.505@94.74mph at Willobank Raceway on the 24/3/04.

Another addition was replacing the stock 3.45:1 LSD for a 3.89:1 LSD - the improvement was remarkable, giving much better traction and stronger launches on the road and racetrack.

Due to the expected increase in horsepower and torque from the turbo conversion, the factory LSD's incapability of limiting slip for a decent amount of track days and the need for more tyre speed at QLD raceway, part of the turbo conversion involved swapping the 3.89LSD for a 3.27 Lock-Rite center, which provides positive mechanical locking under acceleration or deceleration.

Previous improvements in the handling and braking department were in the form of King Springs 'superlow' which dropped the car 2" lower than standard Falcon height, and Koni adjustable front and rear shock absorbers (well worth the money IMHO) and a camber kit for the front end, to retain proper wheel alignment after the car was lowered.

New stiffer (K-mac) front and (Pedders) rear springs have been fitted, along with 32mm front and 27mm rear K-mac swaybars (factory is 27mm front and 25mm rear)along with every bush in the front suspension being replaced with stiffer items, and stiffer bushes in the Watts Link at the rear.

Front discs are DBA directional slotted, and the rear are DBA cross-drilled and slotted rotors, along with EBC "Greenstuff" pads. Brake fade? whats brake fade?

Exterior mods are VT series II clear side indicator lenses and clear front indicators, I have also removed the factory boot spoiler, it makes the car look lower and sleeker...I would also like a set of Doritek Drift-tek rims, they come in 17X9 and should hopefully fit, they are made for widebody Skylines. In the meantime I bought Hyper Silver AMG Quake 17s, I was a bit apprehensive at first, I didnt know if they would look any good, but in the metal they look brilliant!

Some quick pics of the stereo...

The head unit has been upgraded to a Pioneer DEH-P8850 over stock, providing a nice source to run my amps.

Subs are Soundstream Rubicon 12s in a ported box (which is tuned too low, I will probably seal it soon to increase its range) with two Response amps and some neons etc, to rice it up...IMHO a stereo install is allowed a little rice...
