TOTALLED!!!! I wanna buy another one for winter!

Welcome to: Project 92. My name is Benjamin, I bought the car back in the summer of 2004 and have had the dream to modify it ever since. So far only a part of that dream has come true. I've managed to obtain a descent sound system, an exhaust, and go from a bluish grey interior to a black and white. There is still so much to do but eventually my dream will be made into a reality. Just wait and wish me luck! I've named the car "MENSCHMASCHINE" due to the fact that translated from the german, it means MAN MACHINE. I have done all the work myself, literally manning up the machine to how I want it to be.

5:43 AM--> OK... so its colder than hell out here so the painting is taking a LOT longer than hoped for. I am underway in fiberglassing a hood and spoiler. Im about 10% done with the hood and i only have the materials for the spoiler. I havn't started and the spoiler at all.

8:54 PM--> Whats up? Its been a while since i was last on here. Well i have begun painting my car again and im going gunmetal grey. I started on the trunk lid just as i did last time. Its turning out great! Im getting an LED underglow kit with 7 different colors for Christmas so expect a bunch of new pictures up after Christmas. Well if i dont get back on before then, MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

2:33 PM--> I am going to comletely primer the car then paint her a Deep Jewel Green. I finally got the old engine taken apart and now I am going to port and polish the head and the swap it out with the one on my engine. Pictures Pictures and more Pictures are coming so hold on.

5:10 PM--> OK! Got married, went on honeymoon, and now the car needs a bath! I have more pictures of the skirts and the bumper lip and I would say that the fiberglassing for the skirts is at 70% completion and the bumper lip is at 30%. I will have pictures up sometime, but I don't know when because my wife and I are redecorating the house and we are busy. I hope to have some pictures up by Saturday, so check back soon and see what I have done to my car. Thank you for checking out my ride and please take the time to check out my friends' rides.

10:38 PM--> FINALLY!!! I get my car back @ 10am tomorrow!!! HELL YEAH!!! I will have plenty of pictures of the new engine, radiator, and some pictures of how the car will look with my new skirts and rear bumper lip! Stay tuned cause over the next few days, my car will go through some changes and my little Menschmachine will be transformed into a "Sorolla" (which is a Saleen and Corolla blend!) Check back tomorrow and it will be updated!!

7:39 PM--> Hell YEAH!!! I have the new Eisbrecher CD: Antikoerper!!!! It's badass. It is supposed to come out October 20th in Germany and the 24th in America!!! But I already have it. When it does come out here I would suggest buying it!!
~Turbo_Rammstein

12:32 AM--> Let's see. I am keeping the old engine. It did run after all, but it needed a little work. Maybe after I open it up and look around a bit and put it all back together, I will try and sell or trade it to a salvage yard. There are a bunch of parts off a silver gt-s at one particular salvage yard that I want: Speedometer cluster, spoiler, oil cooler, front bumper, corner lights. Perhaps he will trade my old engine for these or most of these parts. IDK? I will call later today and find out. Well even if he only gives me $50-100, thats still 50-100 more than what I had. I would save that if it were cash but I would prefer to trade it in... I will update later and let you all know how it went. Thats it for now.

2:49 PM--> So here it is, I won't have my car back until tomorrow or Tuesday. Hopefully tomorrow. I now have two new jobs, better pay on top of that! Another idea I had for my car was to put a functional hood scoop on. I would work the fiberglass through the car down into the rear brakes. But then i remembered that I wanted to install a sunroof. So that idea was canned. In the front, right underneath the running lights, I think that I am going to desing some fiberglass ducts that will route air to the front brakes. Everyone who really uses the AE92's knows exactly how hot those brakes can get! So as far as it looks I will be working on that project. I also want to design my own body kit. LOL. We'll see how that one goes. It would be a wide body style kit and the doors would look different after some cutting and welding. We will just have to see how it works out. Well thats all for now. Have fun looking at the site.

12:27 AM--> OK so here is the breakdown of how the engine area will be painted. The bay area will be the SILVER used on the rest of the car. The intake manifold will be ALUMINUM as well as the valve cover, head, and exhaust manifold. I might do the valve cover in a GLOSS BLACK. As for the accessories, well we will just have to see how that goes.
~Turbo_Rammstein

10/10/06
5:23 PM--> I almost forgot. I am designing my own fiberglass hood which I will carry out some time. I don't know when for sure but it WILL get done... I also want to do fiberglass door panels, but we'll see about that one. I have recently converted the running lights to xenons and have installed super blue headlight bulbs. Project92 has been going on for quite some time but time is what you need in order to make the best of things...
~Turbo_Rammstein

10/10/06
4:38 PM--> Well lets see. I am getting the new engine put in the car, new clutch, new brakes all around, an alignment, the bumper is getting fixed and I am keeping the old engine to work on it and mod it and eventually I will buy a 4AGE from an AE92 or buy a silvertop and swap it in place of my 4AFE engine. I have put up 20 or so new pictures in the engine and paint sections. Like I said the engine will be the same but it will look different. Also, I am going to strip down ALL of the paint, primer it, and then paint it Silver from the hood to the trunk, and then a Deep Jewel Green on the sides. Then I don't know how I am going to do the engine bay, obviously Silver for the bay itself and some high temp engine paint Im thinking Aluminum, it mostly matches the Silver I am going to use, and either flat black or gloss black for the rest of it.

6:17 PM--> OK well damn! My fucking engine is a piece of shit so im getting a new one... thats it for now...
~Turbo_Rammstein

07/17/06
2:20 PM--> I am back from vacation and have added about 5 pictures in the engine section... These aren't major mods just touch ups in the engine where the white looked like crap...

2:50 PM--> I'm still on vacation enjoying every damn moment of it. I want to get a wing and side skirts for the car once I get back but it probably won't happen for a while afterwards. Tomorrow I leave for Kentucky and the day after I get my tattoo. Hell yeah! If anyone has any ideas for my car please let me know... thanks for all the support!

9:26 PM--> So Im on vacation now, currently in Virginia staying at my fiances' father's house. I miss my car already... *tear* oh well. When I get back I think that I'm going to buy another can of the blue paint and another can of clear coat and work on one of the sides and finally start to get this car completed. OK, lets see... I dont think that I have mentioned that I finally ripped out my A/C compressor and condenser. I still have to take the lines out. I repainted part of the engine bay, you know, you get chips and scuffs and the paint just doesnt look good anymore. So I got some white engine paint and redid some of it. Now she shines. One of the biggest problems I have is the interior. My dash, console, and trim are all chipping. Since they are white and underneath is black this poses a BIG problem. I havn't have any problems using the Dupli-Color Vinyl Paint for black but with the Krylon fusion white, thats another story. I found a store that carries the Dupli-Color Vinyl WHITE paint, so im going to redo every white piece in the car and hopefully it will last this time. As far as maintnance goes, I need to get new brake pads and drums, possibly new tires, and I need to get my tires aligned. So this has been an extremely long post so its time I end it. Night...

I've been getting ready for a vacation thats coming up July 3rd through the 15th so I havn't been spending money on my car just saving. So I'll get back to you after my vacation and let you know how it went and put some more pictures on here. Later!

OK here's the breakdown... These are all of the things I either want to replace, take care of, or otherwise dont't have a catagory for (hense, PROJECTS!):
1) New Optima Battery
2) Install Skirts and Rear Bumper Lip
3) Paint ENTIRE engine bay
4) Paint ENGINE and Accessories
5) Tint Windows
6) Install Sunroof
7) Paint car SILVER and DEEP JEWEL GREEN
8) Paint ALL calipers and drums
9) Make fiberglass hood w/ scoop
10) Make fiberglass housing for rear speakers
11) Fiberglass door panels

These projects will take a great deal of TIME and MONEY!!! When I get the two I will work on the projects. Until then I will tear apart the old engine and modify it.

Hey, man. I've recently purchased a '91 Corolla SR-5 too. I was just wondering where can I get the replacement tail light assembly (mine are so busted up) or possibly some custom lights for this particular model?
