Reilley’s Oldsmobile Delta 88

I just bought a 1987 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale Brougham today. The previous owner used it for driving to and from work at the local steel plant, so it was a little dirty on the inside. I spent about 5 hours today cleaning it up, it looks alot better now. The paint is faded a little, as can be expected from an 87. It has power windows/locks and a power drivers seat. I went from a 1985½ Ford Escort to this, so I'm still trying to get used to all the "luxury" features. With a 3.8L V6 engine, it has some nice pick up, I haven't had a chance to get it out on the highway and see what it'll do yet but from what I've read it's pretty quick for a big car. System wise, I have a legacy LCD97DFX head unit (it does the job pretty nicely for the price I paid), two Rockwood USA 3-way 550 watt max 6x9's for the back (not the greatest, I'll probably replace them when I have some free cash), and two Legacy 500 watt max 12" subs. I'm going to be building the box(es) for the subs when I decide on the best placement for them in the trunk. I haven't bought an amp yet but I will probably get a Lanzar Vibe. I'm doing all the installation myself, and if you're wondering why I'm using mostly "non-popular" brand components, it's because I only make about $250 a month, which doesn't go very far. Anyways, check back in a bit to see what I've done, I'm hoping my friend will let me borrow his digital camera this weekend so I can take some pics of the installation.

The display is multi-coloured, I don't know why it show it as all blue in this picture.

These just went in the back. They don't sound too great running off my deck but I tested them out on my friend's amp and they are amazing! Especially since I only paid $30 for them. Max 550 watts each, each speaker ways 5 pounds.

Just picked this up for $50 brand new. Haven't gotten it yet but I'm sure it'll sound awesome for the price.

Paid $50 for two of these, they sound pretty good on my friends amp. Hopefully I'll find the time to make my box in the next little while.

I'll take some picks of everything installed when I get a chance. Check back in a bit.
