This is my daily driver that I bought new. I test drove 5 or 6 other cars in the sport compact class including the Sentra and the Civic. I took the first turn in my Protegé and was instantly hooked. I was on an extremely tight budget so after doing some searching I found this DX with A/C, M/T, and it had 4 miles on the odometer. This car has been the best car I have owned to date!

Below is my 2003.5 Mazdaspeed Protegé exterior swap, a very worthwhile mod.
Here's a pic of a stock DX (not mine, but what it looked like when I bought it)
I bought all the body pieces on Ebay and got a great price. I threw out that tacky mesh lower grill as soon as I got it, all new Mazda parts for me!

My car at the body shop. I had them remove the side molding and paint the door handles.

The kit is complete!
I swapped out my clear sidemarker lights for amber MP3 sidemarkers.

Heres a few pics from Mazdapalooza 2006 in Tampa, Florida.

Heres some pics next to a Mazdaspeed.

Some recent pics of my engine bay.

I will be updating my page as the car progresses so stay tuned and thanks for looking.

two questions: a. how hard to do or how much is the 5 lug switch? and b. where did you the the carbon fiber looking intake cover? I want to find a way to get more cold air to my short ram CAI, and that looks perfect for it.
