In January of 2002 my first car a 1986 Cavilier with only 147,xxx miles on it, was on its last legs, the tranny was leaking a quart and a half of fluid every day, it wouldn't shift, and nothing else seemed to work right. The was my first and last chevy. I loved the look of the Nissan Trucks since I was a little kid. When I started shopping around for trucks I looked at all makes, Rangers, S10's Dakotas, Toyotas, Nissans, and Mazdas. It seemed to be a common thing with the Toyotas and Nissans they all had high mileage 150,000-500,000. I finally decided on a Nissan Hardbody. I found a 1996 4wd 5 spd King Cab Hardbody for $5,800 in the auto trader not to far away. It had 108,xxx miles on it. She was beautiful, no rust no scratches, mechanically and cosmetically flawless.
