I started this Contour project in the spring of 04'. The car was in the shop for about a month to complete the body mods. The kit started it's life as a JT AUTO body kit for a 03' neon. After COUNTLESS hours of cutting, pasting and molding the kit it fit the TOUR'. We then shaved the door handles and antenna for a smooth look. Door poppers were installed for access into the car. The car was resprayed burnt orange inside and out. Many of the interior pieces are the same color as the car. The car rolls on 14" ARE SNIPER wheels. They came with the car and are going to be swapped when I find somthing I like. A APC super downforce wing was installed on the trunk of the car. The car is equipped with a full yellow and a full green undercar LED light kit.

The engine has been pulled and 'freshened up' with a 2000 focus zetec block/head with stock crank, Je pistons and eagle rods. The head has been ported and polished for optimum flow using a flowbench. It has had titanium valves and springs with stock steel locks and retainers installed. The valves sport a 3 angle valve job as well. Stage 2 crane cams were installed with a set of AEM tru-time cam gears. The stock intake manifold was tapped for a direct port NOS nitrous kit with 100hp on tap. There is also a 50 hp DRY nitrous kit installed for around the town fun. The custom short ram intake was originally a long cold air kit that was customed out for the contour, it also houses the nozzle for the 50hp nitrous kit. We decided to run a COMPLETE stainless exhaust (407 stainless)from the engine back. We started with a shorty focus 4into1 stainless piece with the intent of installing a turbo on it (done, currently removed due to tuning issues). From the header the exhaust is a mendrel bent 2.5" to the Flowmaster 40 series muffler and out the center exit JT AUTO exhaust piece. I would like to say that there is NO cat on this car. Ignition chores are handled by a J&S Safeguard and AROSPEED 10.5mm wires with ZEX nitrous plugs. Fuel is supplied by a 255 LPH intank pump.

The interior is still under construction. Most insert pieces in the interior are painted the orange the car is. The triple gauge pod houses all Autometer phantom guages (A/F, NITROUS, BOOST). The stock cluster has been livened up with reverse glow guages and a flush mounted DIGITAL FUEL PRESSURE GUAGE. The 5" tach is a STINER(european) 4in1 piece that was bought out by RACTIVE(ignited) and is currently sold by them. It has engine temp, oil temp, oil pressure and a built in shift light. It is a VERY clean looking tach especially when lit. The inlays are wrapped in purple string light including the pieces on the doors. Seats are RECARO pieces removed from a Suzuki swift with WEAPON R 4 point harnesses in them. The back seat is a DIRECT swap from a 2000 Cougar - Looks sharp.

So dose the ZETEC out of the Focus pretty much bolt right into it?The reason I ask is I have just baught a '96 Contour with well over 200,000 miles that were less then easy on it.
