This is my 1982 Pontiac Trans Am. It has a 406 SBC, Weiand intake, Hedman headers, Holley 750cfm Carb, Accell coil, 700-R4 Trans, and 9-bolt posi rear.
I bought my Trans Am about 2 years ago somewhat by accident. I always wanted a thirdgen Firebird and after looking at three already that needed too much work I saw this one in the local newspaper. I wasn't even going to look at it until my wife told me to. Reluctantly we went to check it out and as soon as I saw it in the driveway I knew I wanted it. Car was all original, except engine, trans, and rear end. I had the option to take the original rear, but never went back for it. I wish I did!
Here are some photos of the exterior. It has the black and gold paint scheme, which is my favorite.
I got some rear window louvers also...love them or hate them, I think it gives the car and old school look. They are cragers and are raised up in the rear to accommodate the rear wiper. My car does not have this option however. The factory one's from '83 sit flush along the back...still looking for a set.
