Fine Print All of the Saleen ground "FX" are from Saleen, in fact I tried to make the car as authintic as posible. In 86 and the early years of Steve Saleen's mustangs, the only changes to the cars where Wheels, shocks, springs, ground FX, decals, some of the interior and gears. Ford motorcompany would not let him change more than that.. Plaese don't get me wrong, they where the highest quality products avalible at the time. I'm Not about to go hacking on an origial saleen, they where rear enough. But at the same time I wanted a saleen that was a just a step above the others, so I found a 86 convertible and I started building the car, I always wanted. For that warm, Friday and saturday evening drive.
I've envested about "3" years restoring this "old horse" and doing all of the work my self "all but the decals and the powdercaoting of corse". But the grinding, welding, wiring, painting, fiberglass, Audio installation and sicurity upgrades, where all done by Me... Not some store, or guy down the street. It was my hobby, my practice "being a MECP Tech", and also my piece of mind... for those three years and now it seting quietly gauraged, under the car cover, waiting for a warm, dry evenings to get out and enjoy the road... ( To all you guys and gals who feel a bit of pride from knowing you can do something your self and not have someone do the job for you-- I have only the highest respect for you.. so keep feeling the pride that only you can know....( And for the others who run down to the nearest catalog shop to have somthing bolted on "just cause its the latest and greatest think, with the "Bling" set...or run to your budies garage to have him do it for you.. do you self a favor and get a CLUE ;-)"
I hope you enjoy the pictures...
