Hey my name is Jake and this is my 1979 Toyota Celica Coupe 2 dr. many mods including Full Roll Cage, 5 pt harnesses, racing guages, MSD ignition, Tokico shocks, Toyota Racing Development High performance springs. Dual Mikuni Carburators with Dual K&N's, Beefed up TRD camshaft.. Supra Rims. Being rear wheel drive this car handles like no other, thanks to the roll cage it has virtually no body roll, and with a couple grand in suspension components it just flat out handles like a slot car

I took on putting my new clutch in with a couple friends yesterday.. no easy task, the whole project took 9 hours straight, problem after problem after problem, i guess thats what happens with a 26 year old car.. well its in and now it burns rubber and that makes me happy...

since i last updated this i got a rockford fosgate p1 sub, moved the box to the trunk, painted the headlight covers, replaced the water pump, re-routed the coolant lines, replaced the vaccum advance, cleaned the carbs, touched up some paint, spark plugs, painted the trunk, red interior neon, bought new mirrors (same ones, the old ones fell of and exploded) and painted them black, purchased 4 new BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires with raised whites, painted the drums red.. cant think of any more now..

Alright, last Saturday I entered my Celica into Pittsburgh Import Fusion at the David L Lawrence Convention Center. Spent 14 hours just checking out cars and such it was a blast. But the important part is that I won the "Hottest Old School" Trophy and that made it all worth while. Fixed the rust and got the car show-worthy so in a couple days here I'll be putting some pics of that in here.. Thanks for checkin out my car
March 07- Well I haven't updated this page for a while because This baby gets to spend the winter underneath a car cover.. But for the first time I brought her out of the grave to do some much needed maintenance.. A new radiator, new Bosch spark plug wires, a new distributor cap and rotor, change of oil and filter, bla bla.. but i got to drive her for the first time in forever so i'm pretty happy, heres a pic of her after I was done
Ah I also got some nice REAL (finally) chrome exhaust tips and had them welded on.. they add a nice echo to the exhaust and look pretty sweet too.. I'll get a picture on when the weather clears up
