sickersteve's 1976 Buick Riviera

This is one of the the best examples of the last "real" Rivieras- the 1976 bobbed' Boattail. The paint is extra-cost 'Congressional Cream' repainted in lacquer, perfect buckskin leather interior and new vinyl roof. Engine is a 455-4 with 1970 stage1 heads and intake. 800cfm Quadrajet. Smooth THM-400 transmission. HEI ignition upgrades: Accel Blue Thunder in-cap coil, P/N 35367 igntion module, cap&rotor, 300+ spark plug wires, AC-Delco R45TSX 0.065' gapped plugs. ACCEL oiled, foam air-filter.

Car has ALL options except astroroof. All chrome is rechromed. All rubber extensions are fiberglassed.

This Buick has enough American steel to crush any ricer. So for the benefit of the geeks who posted an erroneous 1/4 ET, let's go for a ride and see who wins. Interested?

Very sharp looking Riviera you have there. I still love the styling of the '75 and '76 Rivs, and they are such solid cars.

Owning this car instilled a sense of pride for me. Like all of my cars, it received my personal attention and was worked on with my own hands. No new car can give you that feeling. Unlike the masses, I probably will never have a new turn-key-and-go car. Not interested. Although this car receives a lot of shit, this '76 is still a well-built car after 33 years (that is, until some geeks joy-rided in it--and it STILL performs great!) I would like to ask these geeks, since they're so cowardly and only lurk in the shadows and on computers, if I could drive their bung-hole, buzzy 4-cylinder cars. Actually, no. But I can assure you their cars would not endure the abuse the geeks have done to the Buick. However, since my values are on a higher level, and I choose to NOT damage other people's property, that would never happen. Private property rights are the hallmarks of a civilized society. Police have asked me to provide them reasons why malicious crime and/or vandalism occurs. (duh! didn't their Criminology 101 class in Community College shed some light on this topic? If not, take a refresher course in reality.) For stupid questions like this, go ask a geek. The answer is the same as why people hack into computers. A certain juvenile thrill, I suppose. and BTW: Wouldn't you really rather have a Buick? YOU can own this car! just bid on it!!!
