This is the wife's ride:

It's an '03 model Durango SLT+. I tried to get her to be interested in a Tahoe, but no dice. Her heart was set on this thing the first time she laid eyes on it.
We ordered it with every possible option, except for the 5.9L engine. After driving all the different models of Durango, I just wasn't that impressed with the power difference of the 5.9 over the 4.7. We get bad enough fuel mileage as it is (13 city/ 18 highway).
We got leather, heated seats, towing package (includes trans. and power steering coolers), 3.92 gears, and full-time AWD. AWD became optional for all '03 Durango's. Yes, it was only available with the R/T model previously.
In October '03 I added an AiRaid CAI.

In January '05 I threw on a Gibson cat-back exhaust after the stock exhaust got a little mangled due to my stupidity backing into somebody. Oh well, it only cost me $17 more than the stock exhaust! Sounds good, but not too rowdy for the wife to handle.
Do I regret this purchase yet? No, well not really. Yes they have the big bad Hemi now, but we both can't stand the look of it. It looks to us like a present-day version of an 80's Dodge Caravan, lifted w/ 4WD. ACK! I'd gladly take the Hemi in the Durango we have though! Or, you can buy this one off us for payoff so I can go pick up a new Magnum R/T!
